Once you download Maple Story, the first thing to do is create a character. You’ll start as a “Beginner” class character on Maple Island, where you can start to explore and learn about the game. Once you’ve completed a few tasks and gained some levels, you’ll be able to advance to a new class. You can choose a Maple Story Warrior, a Magician, a Bowman or a Thief.
This choice affects your progression for the rest of the game, as you’ll eventually be able to advance to a new class at levels 30, 70 and 120. For example, the Warrior can choose to become a MS Fighter, Page or Spearman at level 30. He or she will then advance down that track – the Fighter will eventually become a Crusader and then a Hero. The Page will eventually become a White Knight, and then a Paladin. All told, there are 10 different class paths and 35 different classes to experience.
