Big Bang Updates: Get MapleStory Help

Big Bang Changes
Combat
Accuracy, avoidability, damage, and defense have received an overhaul. To keep you from fighting monsters that are too high of a level, accuracy is decreased by a set amount for every level lower than a MS monster you are.
Item Drops
Many of the Use and Etc. items have increased drop rates. Most HP and MP recovery items now have increased drop rates as well.
Leveling
The MapleStory experience curve for leveling is less steep now. The XP points needed to level up have been lowered.
Maps
MapleStory maps have changed to include the new and changed locations.
Monsters
The MS monster stats, amount of experience and mesos they give, and level of equipment they drop has been adjusted.
Party Quests
The starting level for some of the MS party quests has been changed. Modifications to some of the quests have also been made.
Quests
The grammar of the NPCs has improved. MS Quest requirements and restrictions have been changed along with their experience rewards.
Skills
MapleStory skills for all jobs have been restructured and merged into the most useful ones
MS Secrets: Be Prepared For The “Big Bang”
The Black Mage of the MapleStory is not defeated and he is not gone for good. He is merely preparing for his return to conquer the Maple World. The longer he is gone the more his anger and rage builds up,for he wants nothing more than to see the destruction of MapleStory.
The ancient prophecy warned that the day of his return is coming and many predict that day is soon.
The Black Mage had once ruled the Maple World, but his reign was one of cruelty and the Maple World fought back and he was vanquished in battle. In the years following that battle his minions have worked hard to bring about his return so he can once again help them rule.
MS monsters such as Pink Bean, Horntail, and the Dragon Riders terrorized the countryside, foretelling the coming of their dark master. Luckily the good people of MS such as the Explorers and Cygnus Knights stepped up and battled against the evil.
Unfortunately the Black Mage is not gone for good and upon his return there will be a darkness beyond what anyone can imagine. He has planned his revenge for not just the people that vanquished him but for the existence of the whole Maple World.
His return is near and rumor has it that that day will be called the Big Bang.
The Maple World will forever be changed. Monsters will change in power, magic powers will change, cities and towns will move, familiar landmarks will disappear, and new lands will arise.
Are you ready for these changes? Only the strong will thrive and it won’t be a good time to venture out alone so be sure you are surrounded by a supportive players. Having More Fun In MapleStory
The nights are getting colder, the days are getting shorter, the leaves are falling off the trees, and the ghosts and ghouls are starting to walk the earth. It’s the time of year where we know Halloween is just around the corner. Each year Nexon bring out Halloween themed items and from October 20 to November 9, they’ll also feature Halloween themed events.
Hounted House If you dare to step foot into this dark and eerie mansion then speak to Olivia who is just outside the mansion in Masteria. If you can survive this horrifying experience you’ll be rewarded with an eerie chair.
Trick or Treat with Cassandra Go on Cassandra’s quest for some Halloween stick candies, s ‘mores or Maple pops. Watch out for Cassandra’s tricks that she hands out sometimes instead of treats.
Witch Malady’s Secret MissionDark and cruel Witch Malady needs a favor from you due to some recent events. You have two options:
- Talk to her for a quest to capture frogs and cats eaten by MS monsters. You’ll need to do some dirty work to get them out of the monsters. In reward you’ll get some yummy recipes.
- Gather Dark Tokens for her from all the monsters. You’ll be rewarded with powerful magic wares.

Pets can bring you a lot of joy and companionship; however, they are also a lot of work. It’s no different in the Maple world. Having a MapleStory pet is a lot of responsibility. This huge update is coming to Global MapleStory soon. At the moment the developers are not sure what to name it; in Korea they named it the Big Bang.

Others may dread updates since it can mean only one thing: their beloved MapleStory bot might not work anymore, their favorite cheat may be nerfed, or their preferred leveling guide may not work as well.

Scamming in MapleStory
A MapleStory scam is basically tricking someone into giving you their money, items or other goods. Most MS scams will instantly be recognized by higher level players and will not work on them. The easiest scam victims are trusting, newbie players.
Example of a MS scam:
Player 1 approaches Player 2 and asks him if he wants to learn a MS glitch that will duplicate his item
Player 1 then gives him the directions:
- Go into a trade and equip the item
- Then click “Trade” but NOT the “OK” button so the verification screen pops up
- Next type in the code: cltms67y
- Then it’ll exit out of trade and you’ll have duplicative the items
Why this is a scam:
Player 2 was tricked into giving Player 1 his MS item.
How it works:
As soon as you click “Trade” do NOT press the letter “Y” because that is the same as pressing “Yes” or “OK”. It works because it makes the victim type the letter “Y” after they trade so the scammer can accept the item.
You may view scamming as a dishonest way of making money but even if you prefer not using MapleStory scams, it good to be aware of them so you don’t fall victim yourself
New MapleStory Epic Items
MapleStory will soon be featuring some changes in the epic weapon system
MapleStory Item Ranking
Items will be divided into ranks to help you determine common, less valuable items from rare, more valuable items. The items will have a colored border to define their rank
White border: Normal
Blue border: Rare
Purple border: Epic
Yellow border: Unique
Red border: Hidden potential (Items ranked rare or better)
Hidden potential items have to be identified via magnifying glass that can be obtained from merchants in major towns
MS Item Potential
Three hidden potential attributes are randomly assigned to rare or better items. A Potential Scroll is required to unlock the attributes. The scroll can be gained via monster drops or can be obtained by using the Miracle Cube Cash Shop item.
Maple Story Item Revamp Equipment Enhancement
Item revamps will be added to equipment once upgrade slots are all used up.
- Add an Equipment Enhancement Scroll or Advanced Equipment Enhancement Scroll to increase the item’s stats, if successfully used
- The scroll’s success rate will decrease as the number of enhancements increases
- If the enhancement fails, the Maple Story item will be destroyed
*The number of yellow stars above an MS item’s name shows the number of successful enhancements the item has gotten.

MS Golden Temple Secrets Revealed
Like the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, they say it’s out there. In a distant land there exists a temple made entirely of gold. If you step within the temple walls you find treasures of endless wealth for adventures of any MapleStory level.
Within the temple walls also lurks danger. What will you do if you come face to face with the treacherous Ravana? The Golden temple is full of both mystery and danger and MS secrets waiting to be discovered.
Getting to the Golden Temple
First things first, to find the Temple you have a MapleStory level 15 character
- Speak to Cassandra than head over the Dimensional Mirror to find the MapleStory Golden Temple
- Find Mr. Yoo and follow his instructions to receive a Golden Ticket that gives you access to the Monkey Temple and Goblin Cave
- Mr. Yoo only hands out one ticket per day but you can buy a Premium Golden Ticket in the Cash Shop anytime you want to enter
MS Tip for more EXP
If you form a MS party with other players that have a ticket, you can enter the 30 minute mini dungeons that are filled with monsters that when killed give you double the amount of EXP
Facing the great Ravana
After defeating hordes of mad monkeys and goblins, and gathering requested Maple Story items inside the Goblin Cave, you’ll come face to face with the feared Ravana. The Ravana is not just some ordinary boss so if you do walk away with a defeat you get an amazing helmet with stats that are unparalleled in Maple Story!
Another Challenge
For an even bigger challenge, Level 70s or higher can enter the Mirror mode through a portal that’s located at the far right of the Golden Temple. There is a catch however, the levels are reversed in Mirror mode, surviving the first level will be the biggest challenge.
